Q: Do you take walk-ins?

A: Yes. We are a private studio, but if we have a spot open we will take walk-ins.

Q: Do you offer consultations?

A: Yes. Consultations are free and recommended. You will meet with your artist on a set day and time for approximately 1/2 hour to an hour in order to review your vision as well as its location, sizing and details. If your tattoo appointment isn’t already booked, your tattooist will schedule you by the end of your consultation. It is also not uncommon for your artist to request you put down a deposit at this time in order to hold the spot.

Q: What can i do in preparation for my appointment?

A: Please do not drink alcohol or use any type of blood thinning OTC medication (such as Ibuprofen and Aspirin) within 24 hours of your appointment. Please refrain from sun exposure/tanning beds the 2 weeks prior to (as well as the 2 weeks after) your appointment. Get a good rest the night before, eat a full meal, and drink lots of water before coming in. We also recommend that you wear loose, comfortable clothing that will limit obstruction to the area which we will be tattooing.

FAQ - TatToO

Q: I’m fine but I’m on antibiotics. Should I still come in for my appointment?

A: The use of antibiotics shortly before getting your tattoo or during the healing stage will likely affect the integrity of the tattoo and is not recommended. Consult with your physician but try and avoid taking antibiotics within 30 days before and 30 days after getting a new tattoo, if possible.

Q: How much will MY TATTOO cost?

A: The cost of your tattoo will all depend on its size, location, amount of detail, and the time needed to complete it. Pricing starts at $100 (shop minimum) for smaller tattoos and goes up from there. For larger projects, pricing is determined by the length of the session and whether or not the tattoo is black & grey or color.

Q: How do i schedule an appointment?

A: Please contact your artist directly in order to be added to their respective waitlists. We understand you want to get in as soon as possible, but please be as flexible as you can with us when booking your appointment.

Q: What can i bring?

A: If you are a new client, please bring a government-issued photo ID (license, state ID, passport, etc.) with you to your first appointment. Please bring any reference material with you. The day of your tattoo appointment, please bring anything your artist requested of you at your consultation. Feel free to bring your headphones, a tablet, book, magazine, bottle of water/any other non-alcoholic beverage with a lid, and light snacks if desired.

Q: Does your shop offer piercings?

A: Yes we do!

Q: How about cover-ups?

A: Yes. If you have a piece that you are no longer a fan of, we would be happy to make it into something you’re thrilled about. Contact one of our artists directly to discuss & plan out your cover-up process.

Q: I have been FEELING a little under the weather. can i still get tattooed?

A: If you are sick, please (please please please) stay home. Our artists value their health as well as the health of their families, so we do not want to be in close contact with anyone sick for hours at a time. If you are unwell we will reschedule your appointment and give you priority in our schedule in order to get you in as soon as possible once you are feeling better. Our artists reserve the right to cancel your appointment on the spot if you show up for your tattoo visibly unwell.

Q: Does getting a Tattoo Hurt?

A: Pain is really relative. Everyone has a different tolerance for pain. We're not going to kid you, though—it does hurt. Just not that much. Some have compared it to a "hot scratching feeling." But, people would not be returning again and again for tattoo after tattoo if it hurt that bad. Most of us are not into pain, but the beauty of the tattoo and the pride associated with wearing it far outweighs a little pin-stick here and there. What about using some kind of numbing cream? These kinds of products are really not recommended.

Q: Should I Tip My Tattoo Artist?

A: Tipping is a really nice gesture. But, there are no real solid ground rules for tipping.

Q: My Friend Just Bought a Tattoo Kit and Wants to Practice on Me

A: Do not let them do it. Your friend could be putting both of your lives in danger by foolishly trying to learn this at home. Tell them they need to get a proper apprenticeship, and they can start practicing on you when their mentor (master) feels they are ready.

Q: Shop Hours.

A: We are open Tuesday – Sunday 2pm to 8pm. By Appointment ONLY. If we are in the shop and have availability we will accept walk-ins.

Q: Will I need to leave a deposit?

A: YES! All of our artists require a $100-$200 (varies by artist and piece) Non-refundable deposit to secure your appointment. The amount is determined by and can be higher based on the tattoo and the artist discretion. This deposit will generally go toward your first session of tattooing, your artist will let you know their specific rules on deposits. If you do not show or cancel your tattoo appointment, the deposit is forfeited. Ask your artist about their personal policy as they may vary slightly.

Q: Can I see the drawing before my tattoo date?

A: In most cases the answer is NO. Since we do primarily custom tattoos, our artists generally prefer for you to pick an Artist who’s style appeals to you and who you can trust will do something you love based on your idea. There is always time for tweaks and changes before you start tattooing but we have run in to some problems giving out drawings ahead of time and find that it is better to go over the drawing in person at the time of the tattoo so the artist is there to explain and interpret the “sketch” and how it will translate to a tattoo.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: We require 48 hours notice for cancelling or rescheduling appointments. It is hard for us to get someone in your spot with less notice and can result in the artist not working that day. Less than 48-hour notice can result in the forfeiture of your deposit and future appointments with that artist. We understand that sometimes there are extenuating circumstances and we will do our best to accommodate any changes that need to be made as far as scheduling. The more notice you can give, the easier it will be for all involved parties. We truly appreciate your cooperation on this, please respect our time and we will do our best to respect yours as well.

Q: Are you open Holidays?

A: In general NO, we tend to close most holidays but our artists are free to work them if they want to. So, if we are open on a Holiday, the shop is appointment only unless otherwise posted.

Q: I found a tattoo that I want, can you copy it exactly?

A: No, sorry, we do not replicate other artists’ work. We would be happy to take the concept of the tattoo you like and do something customized for you but we cannot copy.

Q: Is your shop clean and sterile?

A: Cleanliness is very important to us. All of our tattoo supplies are single use and 100% disposable. We practice universal precautions, and everyone is required to be current on all Blood Borne Pathogen Precautions training.

Q: Can I get tattooed while pregnant or breast-feeding?

A: No, sorry. We cannot tattoo you while you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Q: Should I eat before I get tattooed?

A: Yes please! Eat plenty of protein and come well hydrated. Getting tattooed releases endorphins. On an empty stomach, these endorphins can lead to nausea. Light-headedness also can occur, so it is good to have your blood sugar up prior to getting tattooed.

Q: How do I take care of my tattoo?

A: Really all you need to do is keep it clean and hydrated. Wash Wash Wash your tattoo. Twice a day for the first 3 days. After that, wash normally and apply a non-scented lotion like Lubriderm to keep it hydrated. Keep your tattoo covered if you are going to any public place soon after you are tattooed. Remember it is an open wound. It will peel and flake like a sunburn and will look really ugly before looking pretty again.

Q: How long can I expect my tattoo to take to heal?

A: Your tattoo will start looking healed in 7-10 days. It can take up to 4 weeks to be completely healed and should not be exposed to sun or soaked in water until after this time.

Q: Do I need to show ID?

A: Yes, FL State law requires that you show a Valid, State Issued ID proving that you are 18 years of age or older and fill out a release for EVERY time you get tattooed. Thank you for understanding
